Toto is a seasoned R&B vocalist with a background deeply rooted in gospel music,
Toto started singing at the early age of 5 in a Southern Baptist Church in Whitehouse, Texas. He participated in his junior high and high school band mastering a mix of instruments enhancing his musical abilities to its peak.
In his early years, he performed in numerous talent shows, high school proms, and opening ceremonies of graduations and football games. He also sang in several gospel groups throughout the years as well as the church choir. After high school, Toto served his country in the US Air Force where he continued to use his musical talents by playing alongside his fellow airmen in the Drum and Bugle Corps.
After leaving the military at the age of 26, Toto was encouraged by his sister, the late Andretta Tillman, former manager of Destiny Child, to pursue the idea of music as a career. At this time the group TAYSTE, as mentioned in the new release J. Randy Taraborelli Becoming Beyonce, was formed and worked side by side with my sister's group, Destiny Child, under Music World Management.
In the mid-1990s Toto worked as an engineer for Texas Music Master Studio and a producer and engineer for Rose Capital Records., In 2000, Toto produced music and background hooks for various rap artists. Today he continues to sing and produce music, now it's all about living life to its fullest.
